Vehicle Description A beautiful Mid-century head turner, this 1955 Ford Customline is the desired 2-door variant, lovingly named the Blue Angel.
If you like getting thumbs up in real life, cruise this joy ride! Clean title, odometer shows approximately 67,364 miles.
First generation ford mustang power train sporting a 289 V8 and automatic transmission with a Hurst shifter.
Engine appears to have a rare Ford Cobra like aluminum intake manifold.
New tires all around, new front Wilwood disk brake conversion, and new boosted dual master cylinder for added safety.
For nostalgia, kept original drums and single master cylinder that goes with the car too.
All new engine hoses and belts.
A few dings and show of wear in the usual places.
Minimal rust, appears as to have been in a dry climate most of its life.
Can attest to it being stored in a garage and in New Mexico for at least the last decade.
The Ford Customline was extremely popular, with nearly three million leaving assembly lines.
1955 Customline production totaled 471,992 units.
Any Customline is relatively easy to maintain.
No chip shortage concerns here! All in all, the car is an affordable way to experience a mainstream 1950's American car.
On episode 3, season 4 of Fast N Loud on the discovery channel, Gas Monkey Garage built a 1955 ford Customline that is currently for sale at $40k, if one wanted something fully restored.
Note:
First photos were color enhanced by a professional photographer, later images taken by me and reflect the more representative blue color of the Customline.
